smiling confident
Who: Hidan and anyone who comes (OPEN)
What: A Par-tay
When: July 10th(seeing as how it was supposed to be last Friday.)
Where Hidan's apartment
Warnings: Cursing and a wide variety of crazy that can occur at parties, drinking

The sky was growing dark now, and through the pale clouds Hidan could see the stars arrive. The apartment was ready for the party, a carpet laid down over the stain on the wood floors. After he had removed the couches that the landlord had left in here, there was plenty of room. Aside from some of his things, a footlocker in his bedroom, a dresser and a few other necessities, the apartment was empty.

On the kitchen counter Hidan had a number of liquors and in the fridge were a few cases of beer. There was pizza on the way, so a crowd not much larger than fifteen would be pleased.

Hidan was excited. His shoes were off at the front door, though he didn’t really care if any of his guests wore their shoes or not, and he walked through the apartment with a bottle of beer in his hand. He worked today so when he got home, he started early and already had a light buzz. He never could hold his liquor well, and although he had been spacing out his drinks; three was still plenty.

It was just about time for the party to start, the landlord unaware of the sounds soon to begin; it brought a smirk to his face. He couldn’t wait to see his face.

Neji arrived at Hidan's apartment, hands in pockets. He had walked there with Tenten, as the whole point of them coming together was her idea in the first place. Stopping in the doorway, he removed his shoes as it was the polite thing to do. He wandered inside and looked around.

'Hmm not many people here...' he thought to himself, as he looked over at the party's host.

Hidan waved briefly when he saw Neji come in with Tenten. "You can leave'em on," He said and nodded towards his shoes. It wasn't like he would stop him if he wanted to be bare foot though, it would be less messy that way.

It was true, not a whole lot of people came(yet), but it was still early in the night and Hidan didn't really know a whole lot of people. He just assumed they would flock in after a while, but he didn't really care.

Neji paused and looked at Hidan. No, he'd keep them off, it was the polite thing to do. Nodding in acknowledgement he scanned the room - people were beginning to arrive.

He looked over at Tenten, they still had to talk about what happened the other night. Not now, not here. He was normally a drinker, but suddenly he felt the urge to go grab a beer. "Where's the beer?" he asked Hidan, gazing at the older guy with a straight face.
21st-Jul-2009 08:54 pm (UTC)
Tenten's eyebrows rose slightly at Neji's request for a beer but she chose not to say anything. He was smart enough to know what he was doing. She, however, could not hold her liquor worth a damn and therefore stayed away from all alcohol.
14th-Jul-2009 05:34 pm (UTC)
Tenten followed behind Neji quietly, a large tray of homemade biscuits in her hand. She slid off her shoes and headed into the apartment, smiling cheerfully at Hidan. "Thank you for the invite again!" she replied then held out the tray.

"You didn't say to bring anything but I felt bad coming empty handed." she added.
17th-Jul-2009 03:44 am (UTC)
Hidan arched a brow at cheerful Tenten and her unnecessary, thoughtful but unnecessary, offering. "Thanks," He said anyway and tilted his head back, gesturing to the drinks and snacks on the table. "Help yourself. Pizza's on the way."

Even though it was a casual party, Konan got dressed up. She had a blue paper flower in her hair instead of her usual white flower. She felt naked without her cello. But being next to Pein calmed her anxiety a bit (and left her cheeks slightly pink). She held his hand as they arrived at Hidan's apartment, sliding her heels off using her free hand.
21st-Jul-2009 05:29 am (UTC)
Pein took off his shoes and led Konan to a chair, sitting down and leading her down into his lap, his arms around her comfortably.
21st-Jul-2009 05:39 pm (UTC)
Konan let out a tiny squeak when Pein pulled her down onto his lap. At least he had his arms around her so she wouldn't fall off. She her arm around his shoulders for support.

Ino slid off her shoes, and looked around for Hidan, spotting him she made her way across the room. " So, What ever happened to my lunch?"
19th-Jul-2009 04:34 pm (UTC)
Hidan had his arms crossed and was leaning against the wall while Ino entered his apartment. There were a few people here now, but it was still rather quiet.

He was surprised to see Ino, and stuttered a reply. "Uh...Well, I figured you were over it, never heard from you again," It was an honest reply, but he hadn't exactly tried hard to gain her attention.

"So..." Hidan began, and uncrossed his arms. "Find the place okay?"
21st-Jul-2009 05:31 am (UTC)
Pein chuckled and spoke up "Our GPS doesn't have your address listed. We had to backtrack a few times and then ask for directions. The stupid machine was convinced your house was in a lake out east."
21st-Jul-2009 05:50 am (UTC)
Hidan crossed his arms and tried hard not to look at Pein. He had a hot girl on his lap and he was talking to casually, his nonchalance sort of pissed him off.
"Doesn't take a GPS to find this dump," Hidan replied and pointed his thumb in the direction of the balcony which faced out to the streets of the city.

"I put up some signs..." Now that he thought about it, signs probably weren't very helpful. His directions had been lacking, but Hidan hadn't really been focused on the time leading up to the party; instead he had been excited about the now.

The thought about drinking, eating and listening to unbearably loud music brought a vicious smile to his lips. While he waited for Pein to reply, he quickly raked his eyes over Konan's body and mused to himself. Good looking, but she was probably a bookworm.

Oh well.

Lee actually took time off work to attend the party- okay, it tended to bother him to take off from work, but this was important! A community event! He wanted to get out and meet the people in the city. And maybe he would meet people he could call friends- someone to spend his next boring day off with.

With that in mind he set off through the room, locating the snack table. This was where people hung out, so this was where he was staying and talking.
21st-Jul-2009 08:56 pm (UTC)
Tenten had wandered away from Neji and was perusing the snack table with a thoughtful expression on her face. She looked up as the dark haired guy appeared and smiled slightly at him, nodding politely before giving up on eating and turning around to gaze at the room.

So many unfamiliar faces...
22nd-Jul-2009 12:46 am (UTC)
His eye caught the smile, and he quickly returned it with one of his own. "Hello!" he started, thrilled that already someone was here to hang out with him- but then she turned away and looked at the room.

"Looking for somebody?" he asked, moving to stand next to her and peer out at the room too. Maybe she lost her date- or friend or group of friends, it was wrong to assume- and he could help her find them?
22nd-Jul-2009 01:07 am (UTC)
Tenten turned back to the dark haired guy and smiled a full smile. "Oh, hello!" she replied cheerfully before blushing slightly at his question. "Oh no...no one in particular."

She tugged nervously on a curl. "I'm afraid I don't know many people here so I'm a bit...nervous." she replied, laughing quietly before releasing the curl and holding out her hand. "Tenten." she introduced.

Kisame felt rather awkward coming to this party. Sure, he'd seen signs, it was all ages and the current party-goers were in their mid-to-late twenties, but he still felt out of place. He was older than the kids and it being his job to uphold law and order, felt funny participating at a house party.

Hell, it couldn't even be called a house party; they were in an apartment and there was no way that a landlord or super' would agree to sacrifice his other tenants comfort for this. Still...Kisame found himself here regardless, his badge hidden inside his coat pocket and his arms crossed.
22nd-Jul-2009 04:45 pm (UTC)
Tayauya knocked on the door rather loudly, seeing as the noise in the apartment was loud enough to pull her out of her own apartment and make her stomp downstairs for the source of the noise. COme to think of it, she remembered some sort of sign...somewhere.
When the door opened, she prepared to yell at the first person she saw when -
"Hey, is that Konan?"
23rd-Jul-2009 06:13 am (UTC)
Konan was too busy blushing at Pein's sweet talking to notice Tayuya calling out her name. Though in the back of her head, she swore that someone was calling her name (that wasn't Pein)...
23rd-Jul-2009 07:30 pm (UTC)
"Nevermind," Tayuya muttered. Konan did look awfully cute wrapped up in that orange-haired man.
It occured to her that she was still leaning again the doorframe.
Stepping inside almost shyly, she closed the door behind her and wondered if she could make some friends here.
27th-Jul-2009 03:27 am (UTC)
Hinata had taken hours to finally decide to attend Hidan's party. (The decision had been weighing at the back of her mind all day, but once she ran out of activities to keep her busy come early afternoon, she had to actually face it.) One wouldn't say she was a social person. However, she resolved to step outside of her shell more, and Hidan was a friend. The party couldn't be that bad. ...Could it?

And so she found herself walking up the stairs, down the hall, and up to his door. With absolute trepidation, Hinata raised her hand to knock. One, two, three taps. After waiting a moment, common sense reminded her that tapping on the door to an apartment that was blaring music wasn't going to get her anywhere.

Gathering up her courage, Hinata knocked as hard as she could bring herself to do. Until someone answered, she could stand outside the door, twirling her fingers behind her back in the hem of her cute shirt and rubbing her new sandals together, perfectly content to avoid the results of her decision.

After grabbing his two beers, Neji walked to the other side of the room to 'people watch'. He didn't know anyone (besides Tenten) here, and wondered if he should try talking to someone. Nah...

Taking a swig of one of the beers, he turned around when he heard a knock at the door. Weren't people meant to just walk in? Shrugging and holding his beers in one hand, he leant over opening the door.

"Oh, it's you, hello Hinata."
28th-Jul-2009 06:01 pm (UTC)
Hinata was surprised to see Neji open the door to greet her. "Neji?" she asked, wondering if it really was him standing in front of her. "Are you drinking?" She noticed the two beers in his hand. And Neji obviously wasn't one to drink.

Realizing she was still standing outside with the door open for her, she stepped inside. She looked around the room, noticing that she knew only a couple of faces, before looking back at Neji. What a strange place to find him. Though, it was a strange place to find herself as well.
28th-Jul-2009 06:28 pm (UTC)
"Yeah..." Neji replied, glancing at his beers then back at Hinata, "I have some... things going on, don't tell Hiashi." It wasn't like him, he just couldn't deal with what was happening with Tenten right now. The sooner they sorted that out, the better!

"I haven't seen you for ages, how have you been?" he asked staring straight through her. He took another drink of beer, glancing around the room to see what Tenten was doing.
